Spiro, Africa's largest EV Player will today reveal it's state of the art Automated Smart Swapping and Charging Station at Petrocity Gigiri, and all press are welcome to join us to report the event.
About Spiro
Spiro was launched in Kenya at a ceremony with President Ruto in September 2023 in Mombasa. Today marks a move into Nairobi as the city intends to electrify and reduce harmful pollution. Spiro is not only a provider of motorbikes (12,000 deployed across Africa) but also of the charging infrastructure needed to power the battery swapping bikes.
The automated swap station will be the first of it's kind for Spiro in Kenya, and around 10 more will follow before the end of May 2024.
Today's event
Today's launch will see many members of the Spiro team joining with colleagues at Petrocity and other partners to celebrate the arrival of the new swap station, which will allow riders to change their batteries in less than a minute. The team will be on hand for pictures and interviews. Motorbikes and the swapping station and batteries will be on display.
