Spiro, Africa's leading electric vehicle player, is thrilled to announce its participation in the MIT Persona Fest 2024, with Yogesh Dipankar from Spiro's Pune office representing the company.
The Persona Fest, known for being the epicenter of creativity and innovation at MIT ADT University, aligns perfectly with Spiro's mission to find technology solutions to drive sustainable mobility across Africa and beyond. And, as the company continues to expand its international smart energy ecosystem, it aims to inspire young technology enthusiasts and the next generation of potential employees.
The attendance of Yogesh Dipankar, Spiro's Head of IoT / Maps and Data Monetization, at this prestigious event, underscores Spiro's commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancements in the EV sector. The festival, taking place from February 10th to 13th, 2024, features a blend of cultural and technical events, workshops, and exhibitions, offering a unique platform for Spiro to showcase its initiatives and explore new horizons in electric mobility.
Spiro has deployed more than 10 thousand electric bikes across Africa so far, each with the ability to swap its used batteries for fully charged ones at Spiro's many swapping and charging stations in Kenya, Benin, Togo and Rwanda. To date, riders have made more that 7 million Spiro battery swaps, and travelled 185 million km.
Yogesh was part of Spiro's launch in Pune and has watched the team grow into a dynamic group of tech innovators over the past months. As Spiro announces more strategic partnerships and expansion into new markets, the technology developed in Pune will remain the driving factor at the heart of the company.
Spiro is creating an infrastructure to deliver clean energy to riders across Africa and beyond. The work we are doing in Pune on State of Charge technology, mapping, and the new Spiro App will ensure the continued rapid growth of the whole EV sector. It's great to be able to come to Personafest and share our excitement with the next generation of innovators.
