Spiro Partners with Lexo Energy to Roll Out EV Charging Across Africa

This collaboration aims to revolutionize Spiro's smart battery swap station network by leveraging Lexo Energy's 41 petrol stations across Kenya, significantly enhancing the accessibility and convenience of electric mobility solutions throughout the continent. This announcement follows a similar recent deal with Petrocity, also in Kenya, underscoring Spiro's commitment to expanding its charging infrastructure across the region.

This partnership marks a significant step in Spiro's mission to develop a comprehensive Pan-African smart energy ecosystem. By integrating automatic swap stations within Lexo Energy's extensive network, starting from the end of February, Spiro will not only boost its geographical footprint in Kenya but also in Benin, Togo, and Rwanda, with a plan to inaugurate 50 additional sites in the upcoming weeks.

Spiro's automated swap stations are a cornerstone of its strategy to enhance electric mobility, capable of swapping batteries in less than a minute. These state-of-the-art stations are designed for maximum efficiency and user convenience, allowing riders to quickly exchange their depleted batteries for fully charged ones, thereby significantly reducing downtime and enhancing the overall user experience.
